Student of the Week Alyssa Cogburn

Senior at Highland High School

Tell us a little about your school experience: "My school experience at Highland so far has been amazing. I've been involved in varsity cheer and student senate since my freshman year and I am currently the Student Body Vice President. Other clubs I have become involved in throughout high school include National Honor Society and MEChA. Being involved has given me the opportunity to connect with amazing people and build great friendships throughout the years."

Favorite course: "My favorite course is AP English Literature because I enjoy the symbols writers include that can be interpreted in so many ways and how a great book makes you feel a part of it."

Plans for the future: Alyssa plans to attend college in Colorado or at NMSU and major in biology and then apply to medical school hoping to become a pediatrician.
