Student of the Week Aidan Cates

Fifth-grader at Pajarito Elementary School.

Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.

What Aidan’s teacher and parents say about him: Aidan’s teacher described him as a “very bright boy.” His parents say he is constantly thinking about new ways to use science.

Favorite subjects: Art and math, particularly algebra. “Aidan has superior spatial intelligence. He enjoys building three-dimensional structures with Legos,” says his teacher.

Hobbies and activities: Aidan’s favorite activity is playing video games at home. At school, he enjoys science experiments and expressing what he has learned through art and building with his hands.
