Student of the Week: Adriana Lopez

Congratulations to Adriana Lopez, a senior at Highland HS, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation!

Tell us a little about your school experience:
I started to become involved during my second year of high school when I joined Student Senate. Since then, I have been a part of many wonderful activities at Highland, such as Women's Student Union, National Honors Society, and BSU. I am currently serving as Student Body Co-President, and I am incredibly lucky to be a part of our “Senate Family.

What’s your favorite course?
My favorite class this year is my AP Statistics course. I have never considered math to be one of my strong suits, but I am beginning to really enjoy it.

What are your plans for the future?
I hope to attend college in Colorado next year where I will work toward my goal of becoming the director of a non-profit organization!
