Student of the Week Adrian Armendariz

Atrisco Heritage Academy senior

“I attend the largest school in the state of New Mexico and could not feel any more at home. From freshman year on, I have always been challenged fairly by teachers. This has been a great help because I have been pushed to be the best that I can be. Thanks to my teachers and the administration at my school, I have thoroughly become a student who pursues success while striving to be selfless. The large community that is our school continues to push all of it students, including myself, in the correct direction in order to shape the future, and I would not want to attend any other high school.

My favorite course is AP Calculus. I have always enjoyed mathematics and love to be challenged by rigorous work.

I plan to attend the University of Pennsylvania on a full scholarship, pursue a major in mechanical engineering, and some day return to Albuquerque to give back everything that this city and my community has given to me.”
