Permanent Fingerprint Stations Located in Albuquerque

Operation Kidsafe and Mark’s Casa Auto Group in partnership with the APS Education Foundation have opened fingerprint stations for child safety at three local dealerships.

Three digital photo and fingerprint centers were launched this summer in Albuquerque. These Operation Kidsafe centers are private and free for families. They are located at:

    • Mark’s Casa Chevrolet, 7201 Lomas Blvd, NE, 262-8600
    • Mark Mitsubishi, 5200 San Mateo Blvd, NE, 880-8000
    • Mark’s Casa Chrysler, Jeep, and Mitsubishi, 9733 Coors Blvd, NW, 897-8400.

Many area families have already stopped in and picked up a free lifetime safety record for their children. The Operation Kidsafe bio document provides a safety record that is ready to hand to law enforcement in case of a family emergency.

There's no need to bring anything to the fingerprint center other than the child. The only record of the visit goes home with the parent.

The supporters of the program are many including: the Albuquerque Police Auto Theft Division, Boys and Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico, Albuquerque Fire Department, SAFER New Mexico Now, New Mexico Department of Transportation, KOAT Channel 7, Special Olympics New Mexico and the Albuquerque Public Schools Education Foundation.
