"Lion King" Tickets Going Fast

Early bird tickets for APS parents, teachers, administrators and students are on sale now.

December 12, 2011

“Lion King” fans, beware: Tickets to the Oct. 11, 2012 showing of Disney’s smash Broadway musical are going fast.

The APS Education Foundation has made it possible for APS parents, teachers, administrators and students to purchase early-bird tickets to the production of the Grammy- and Tony Award-winning production of “The Lion King,” and nearly one-third of a 600-ticket allotment to the Foundation for the Oct. 11 show has sold in just four days.

Tickets to show are available now at www.apseducationfoundation.org . You’ll only have a limited time before they go on sale to the general public. Ticket prices range from $50 to $150 apiece for this unique, family-friendly taste of Broadway. Ticket orders are being taken now, although the actual tickets will not be distributed until after the holidays.

In the process, you’ll be able to help the Foundation, which sponsors grant programs throughout the district in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math, Literacy, Middle/High School Activities and Fine Arts. This fundraiser will allow you to do your holiday shopping early.

In addition, the Foundation has already purchased a block of tickets that will go into a lottery so families of limited means may attend the performance! More on that later.

For more information,  contact the Foundation at 878-6165 or casaus@aps.edu.
