It’s Not Too Late to Give to the United Way

The deadline for pledge forms is the day before we break for Thanksgiving; your contribution would certainly be something to be grateful for.

It’s not too late.

APS employees may still turn in their United Way forms as we push to break last year’s record for contributions. The deadline is next Tuesday, Nov. 20, the day before we break for Thanksgiving.

Schools may contact the APS Education Foundation to arrange a pick up time, and employees may send their forms through intra-office mail. The Foundation is located at 630 East in the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex (City Centre).

Contributions to the Foundation benefit the Horizon Awards, a competitive-grant program that puts money back into classrooms throughout the district. Just a couple of weeks ago, the Foundation’s semi-annual campaign awarded $70,000 to two dozen projects supporting fine arts, literacy, middle and high school activities and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
