Discounted A is for Art! Tickets Available for Employees Through Friday

Employees get more than half off the adult ticket price if they purchase them by Friday, Sept. 14. Gala and auction of student art will be held Friday, Sept. 28, at the Albuquerque Museum.

Time is running out to buy discounted tickets for the A is for Art! gala and auction which will be held Friday, Sept. 28, at the Albuquerque Museum (map). The employee discount will be available through 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14.

Tickets during that time will go for $12 each. Regularly priced tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for students.

The auction is a fundraiser for the district’s Fine Arts Department and the APS Education Foundation. Artwork from the district’s high school students will be auctioned, with the young artists receiving 40 percent of the sale.

This year's gala will feature famed artist Edward Gonzales.

To buy tickets, call the Foundation at 878-6167. Discounted tickets may not be purchased online, but credit card orders will be taken over the phone.
