New Mexico ScholarshipsThe New Mexico Legislative Lottery Scholarships -Through the Lottery Success Scholarship Program, every New Mexico high school graduate (or GED recipient) who wants to attend a New Mexico public college or university can get their tuition paid as a result of profits from the New Mexico Lottery. This site explains the features of the program and how to qualify. Albuquerque Community Foundation Scholarships - The Albuquerque Community Foundation has nine scholarship programs and one financial aid program to help New Mexico residents attain their educational goals. Application information on all scholarship programs is sent to all eligible New Mexico high schools and many of New Mexico's colleges and universities in September of each year. Financial AidNew Mexico Student Loans - The goal of New Mexico Student Loans is to assist parents and students in completing and filing for financial aid. Also included is a list of frequently asked questions about financial aid and how Financial Aid Workshops held at the high schools will, “Increase your students' odds for success,” by providing accurate and up-to-date information. Education Quest - Learn how to write a resume and how to figure out the financial aid process. They will help you with scholarships as well! Best of all, their help is free! They do cater to Nebraska students but most of the information is applicable to any state. Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - FAFSA opens the door to the federal student aid process. Every step you take will get you closer to achieving your educational goals. Find out what you can expect from beginning to end. Completing the FAFSA – This is an introductory publication for students which provide instructions on how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) either online or on paper. You can download this publication in English or Spanish. College Admissions US - You'll find college rankings here and reminders to fill out the FAFSA, take the ACT, etc. Common Application - Many colleges accept this common online application for admission. If you don't have an application that you need in a hurry, this is an option you may want to consider. Students.Gov - Links to general info about the major federal student aid programs and other federal, state, and private sources of aid. Student Guide - The Student Guide is a comprehensive resource on student financial aid from the U.S. Department of Education. Grants, loans, and work-study are the three major forms of aid available through the Department's Federal Student Aid office. Updated each award year, The Student Guide tells you about the programs and how to apply for them. Scholarship Search EnginesCollege Guidance Consultants -- Provides information on scholarships to pay for college. It enables parents and students to have acess to a vast database of scolarships from many sources. The information is current and easy to use. Fast Web – This site claims to have over 600,000 scholarships that are worth over 1 billion dollars. FreSch! – This site has a database of over 5,000 organizations and foundations that offer scholarships, representing approximately 450,000 awards. The Scholarship Page - This scholarship search site was developed by a student to help other students who needed to find scholarship money to fund their education. College Net - The database contains over 600,000 awards totaling over $1.6 billion. Keyword Search gives you a quick way to narrow down to a particular scholarship or group of scholarships. Go College.Com – They claim to have the largest scholarship database in the country Wired Scholar – This site has a sections specifically designed for parents, students and counselor on financial aid and scholarships. Fast Aid - This site claims to be the oldest and largest private sector scholarship database with over 20 years of research and constantly being updated. Minority and International Student ScholarshipsHispanic College Fund – This is a great site for Hispanic students and parents. It includes a survey that investigates Latino attitudes toward education and education issues, a scholarship database and information on how to avoid scams. Hispanic Scholarship Fund - The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is proud to be the nation's leading organization supporting Hispanic higher education and is committed to providing opportunities for Hispanic students. The Gates Millennium Scholarship – These scholarships are awarded to minority students. Check out the website for more information. International Education Fund - International Education Financial Aid (IEFA) scholarship search is the premier resource for financial aid, college scholarship and grant information for international students wishing to study abroad. At this site, you will find the most comprehensive college scholarship search and grant listings plus international student loan programs and other information to promote study abroad.
