Elementary Expansion School Counseling Program – US Department of Education

The District Counseling Services Unit was recently awarded the Elementary Expansion School Counseling Program through the US Department of Education.  This grant will allow for “Why Try” curriculum to be purchased and implemented in all Elementary Schools within the district.  All Elementary School counselors will be trained in “Why Try.”  The grant will also support the students needs in the schools by funding FTE counselor positions in those schools of need.
