The web-based process not only eliminates paperwork but also allows schools and the district to track events and account for usage expenses.

Those interested in reserving space in a school or other APS building can go online to check availability and to fill out a request form. The requests will route electronically through an approval process and updates will be sent by email.

This process reduces the amount of time it takes to process requests. We do require that any request be submitted a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. This provides the school administration with more time to review requests. The online program also has some handy features that will help coordinate custodial, security and other event set-up services. In addition, the program will help collect usage fees.

Community users must be aware that school-sponsored and extracurricular activities take precedence. It may be necessary, on rare occasions, for a school to "bump" another scheduled event. In these cases, we will provide you with as much notice as possible.

The facility use website will be closed to community requesters every year during the month of June in order for schools to enter their calendar events for the upcoming school year.

Organizations that have past due invoices with either APS or Rio Rancho PS will not be permitted to submit new requests until balances have been paid.

                                                                   IMPORTANT DATES

The last day of school is May 23. Schools will be closed on Memorial Day May 28.

In addition, all high school football and soccer fields will be offline from February 1 through July 1 for offseason maintenance. No community groups will be allowed access during this time.
