Programs of Study and Certifications Working Document

A friendly reminder that our FAB-ulous group will convene next Wednesday, Oct. 28th at 4:30 p.m. at MACCS Charter School.
We currently have two agenda items:

  • The city of Rio Rancho, in partnership with Premiere Cinemas, is sponsoring a Sci-Fi Shorts contest for K-12 students, with a November deadline and the opportunity for a theater screening in tandem with the new Star Wars film; see attached fliers for details.
  • Dr. Mike Stanton is working with Eric Spencer at PED to outline what’s happening with Career and Technical Education in the 16 Career Clusters throughout NM, and has asked for the input of secondary/post-secondary educators, program directors, and industry partners in developing an articulated outline of what’s happening with these programs in our state.  I’ve attached materials that Dr. Stanton has sent regarding this work.  This could be an important opportunity to articulate the work we’re doing in the Arts & A/V Career Clusters. Secondary and post-secondary instructors, please bring/email a copy of your current Program of Study prior to the meeting.

If you have additional agenda items, please let me know ASAP.  If you haven’t already done so, please RSVP.  We’d love to know how many people to expect at MACCS.
