NM Girls Make Movies Short Film Grant

Deadline for entries is March 15

New Mexico High School and College students have a chance to win cash prizes provided by the New Mexico Governor’s Mansion Foundation.

Currently enrolled New Mexico high school, college, and university students have an outstanding opportunity to jumpstart their screenwriting careers by submitting their film scripts to the Scholastic Tale Writers Screenwriting Competition.

Entries are being accepted through March 15, 2017. Three finalists will be selected to have their scripts read by local actors at the Governor’s Mansion in April. Cash prizes will be awarded to those three finalists.

 Submit a complete screenplay of 10 pages or less with the theme of New Mexico History.  

The New Mexico Film Foundation is a 501 c 3 nonprofit whose mission is to help grow the New Mexico Independent film industry while offering financial assistance and educational opportunities to New Mexico independent filmmakers.

Tale Writers Screenwriting Conference is a program of the New Mexico Film Foundation

The New Mexico Governor’s Mansion Foundation is a non-partisan, non-profit organization. The Governor’s Mansion Foundation keeps the beauty and legacy of the historic Governor’s home alive through tours and community outreach.
