Related Services provides developmental, corrective and other supportive services as required to assist a child with a disability to benefit from special education. The IEP (Individualized Education Program) makes determination of these services for students. A brief description of these services and contact personnel is noted below.

Assistive Technology Service - Any service that directly assists a child with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology device.

Audiology Service -The evaluation and identification of children with suspected hearing loss and provision of habilitative services such as auditory training, speech reading, speech conservation, and amplification.

Interpreter Service for the Hearing Impaired - The translation of orally presented language into visual language (ASL, Signed English, etc.) provided in order to facilitate communication among deaf and hard-of-hearing students, their hearing peers, classroom teachers and other personnel in the school system.

Occupational Therapy - The evaluation and identification of children in order to develop or restore function by improving ability to perform tasks for independent functioning such as daily living and play skills, prevocational capacity and adaptation of environments.

Physical Therapy - The evaluation, identification, and provision of service to children that addresses concerns with movement limitations or dysfunction as well as compensatory motor skills.

Psychological Services - Involves the assessment and evaluation of children to determine social and behavioral needs, develop behavioral intervention strategies, and provide counseling.

Social Work Services - Involves preparation of a social/developmental history on a child, counseling with a child and family, participation in developing behavioral intervention strategies, and integration of schools and community resources.
