(January 2007)

Margaret Connors, from Sandia Cluster, and Barbara Patchett, from Georgia O'Keeffe ES, recently passed their national boards. They were recognized at the Teacher's Union office on January 8th.

Margaret has taught in APS for 23 years and is certified in both regular and special education. She has previously won the Golden Apple Award (see news archive). She has taught at all levels, most recently at Sandia HS in a self-contained program focusing on behavior and is currently the Transition Specialist for Sandia Cluster.

Barbara has taught for 30 years, 27 of those in APS. She is currently at Georgia O'Keeffe ES where she teaches a cross-cat program of 1st - 4th graders whose services range from monitor to full day. She provides her students instruction in both self-contained and general education settings.
