AHS Student Transitions to a
New Stage in Life

   Morgan White

Morgan White, a former Albuquerque High student, received her Certificate of Transition on December 19 th, 2008. She is currently a student in the APS Transition Outcomes Program which helps students transition from high school to the adult world. Morgan works part-time at ECHO Inc. and is also working on her independent living and community participation skills. Morgan demonstrates strong self-determination skills and plans to become a volunteer at the Center for Self-Advocacy next fall. She has also pursued opportunities to improve her public speaking skills and last fall co-presented with other self-advocates at the Southwest Conference on Disability. Morgan has set some lofty goals for herself that include employment, volunteer work, leisure activities and eventually living on her own. She has worked hard to make some of her goals a reality, and she has the full support of her family, friends and APS staff.
