Interim Alternative Educational Setting (IAES)

IAES offers direct interaction to eligible students requiring temporary educational provisions off campus due to weapon, drug or serious bodily injury violations. The IAES staff is committed to providing an interim alternative educational setting for special education students who have been long term suspended/expelled for drugs, weapons and/or serious assault. We are committed to giving these students a fresh start and alternative opportunities to stay in school. IAES staff work together to develop a safe setting and appropriate curriculum for each student. They coordinate efforts with schools and APS transportation. Buses are safe due to APS Security Officers on board.
