Confederate General Thomas, or his nick name Stonewall Jackson died May 1863.  He was shot at Chancelorsville  but survived, the real reason he died was from pneumonia six or seven days after he was shot.  He earned his nickname because if a bullet passed by, even right near his face without hitting him, he would not move at all.  He doesn’t even blink or wince.  The General that took his place after he died has the name of George Pickett.  The Confederates liked Jackson and they have high hopes for their new general, General George Pickett.          By: Andy Munson
