First Community Conversation on Eight Goals Set for Oct. 2: APS Superintendent Winston Brooks and Board of Education President Mary Lee Martin will host the first of eight meetings on the “8 Goals for Educational Success in Albuquerque” at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2, at Manzano High School. Community members are encouraged to attend and provide their input.
They will be asked to help answer three questions—What does APS do well now?; What are your biggest hopes for APS?; and If you were superintendent, what would you do next?

ParentLink Information

APS has implemented ParentLink, the new district-wide communication system this school year.    Parents will receive a phone call or e-mail every time their child is late or absent. As soon as teachers take attendance, the system begins to call or e-mail the parents to notify them of their child’s absence or tardies, whether excused or unexcused.   Please continue to call the school to report your child’s absence or tardy.  ParentLink will also be used to notify you of upcoming events, school delays or closings, if your child has a negative account in the cafeteria, and in the event of an emergency. Please remember to notify the office if you have a change of contact information.

          POP TABS

We are collecting POP TABS for the Ronald McDonald House again this year.. Please remember to collect those tabs and send them to school with your student. Those tabs can make a significant difference.

Kids Helping Kids: Ronald McDonald House invites all Albuquerque school students to help kids by collecting aluminum pop tabs for recycling. By recycling pop tabs, you are helping hundreds of New Mexico families and their ill children. The Ronald McDonald House serves as a home away from home for families of ill or injured children who are undergoing medical treatment at a local medical facility. The money raised from your recycling efforts is used to provide snack foods and household goods for the families use during their stay.
