Volunteers share in students' enthusiasm for reading and
keep the library running smoothly!
|
Volunteers are needed in
the Marie Hughes Elementary School Library Media Center for one or more hours
per week. Please stop by the media center, call the school office at
897-3080 or email me at byrd@aps.edu.

Volunteer Tasks:
- Help students select and locate books
- Assist students in using the library catalog on the computer
- Check-in and check-out library materials
- Locate library resources for staff
- Prepare new books for circulation
- Repair books
- Cover paperback books
- Shelving
- Create displays and bulletin boards
- Search library catalog for book titles to identify and label genres
- Inventory the collection
We are always busy and welcome additional
