Field trip requests must be submitted to the principal or assistant principal at least two weeks in advance. The office staff will make the appropriate calls to the bus company. All required forms are in the office. In your handbook, there is a disk that contains the Field Trip Permission template for your use.
General guidelines for planning field trips:
1. The rationale for the field trip must
be clearly defined.
2. The field trip should support classroom
instruction.
3. Planning should ensure parent permission
forms, adequate supervision, proper clothing, etc.
4. Verbal field trip permission is never
acceptable.
5. Please be sure to post your scheduled
field trip on our office calendar.
6. Please inform the cafeteria manager one
week prior to the field trip.
7. Field trip drivers are required to sign
verification of insurance.
8. Please do not schedule a field trip if you are going
to be absent. It is not fair to the sub or the parents that are going
on the trip.
