Discipline Policy

BLOCK I OFFENSES
***Cutting Class
***Calling Names
***Failure to Return Discipline Slips
***Playing in an inappropriate area
***Arguing / Talking Back to Staff
CONSEQUENCES
***Student will owe one recess
***Parents will be notified
***Teacher is to conference with student

BLOCK 2 OFFENSES
***Disrespect / Defiance for school personnel
***Disrepect for student property and / or school property
***Possession of inappropriate objects (i.e. matches, lighters, etc....)
***Fighting IF STUDENT STOPS
***Intimidation / Threatening
***Indecent behavior (verbal, written, object, or language)
***Throwing objects
CONSEQUENCES
***Student will owe three recesses
***Parent will be notified by telephone/parent teacher conference/or home visit
***Notification of the administration

BLOCK 3 OFFENSES
***Stealing
***Exhibiting Gang Activity
***Vandalism
***Leaving school grounds
***Fighting IF STUDENT DOES NOT STOP OR injury to another
***Throwing objects SOMEONE GETS HURT
***Possession of illegal substance or object
CONSEQUENCES
THESE ARE "0" TOLERANCE BEHAVIORS
***Notify the Office Administration
***Parent Conference for Suspension
***Contact APS Security as appropriate
***Conference with School Counselor, Parents, Teacher, other appropriate personnel
***If 2nd occassion, contact court liaison
