3. General education with special education consultation service for less than 10% of the day. Gifted students with very mild disabilities
4. General education with direct special education services for up to 49% of the day. Gifted students with mild to moderate disabilities. This approach would take the form of "blended" program services (e.g. gifted education resource room service combined with general education or both gifted and special education resource room combined with general education.)
5. QUEST Program
Designed for gifted students with factors.
Special education services within a small class setting (i.e. 12-15 students)
for 50%or more of the school day. Gifted
students with mild to moderate disabilities are served in a new factors
program which includes students withother factors such as low socioeconomic
factors, cultural factors and/or linguistic factors. (Appropriatefor gifted
students with disabilities whose primary exceptionality is gifted.)
6. VENTURE Program
Designed for gifted students with disabilities.
Special education services within a small class setting (7-8 students)
for a time period approaching a whole
school day. Gifted students with severe disabilities (excluding those with
severe emotional disturbance). This program would not include gifted students
with any other factors.
