The State Department of Education’s Special Education regulations outline requirements for evaluation to determine if a student is eligible as gifted. The evaluation specialist is responsible administrating and explaining the diagnostic criteria. After testing is completed, the Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) will meet to determine eligibility.
