School systems often fail to identify these students; possess a high degree of creativity; may appear obstinate,
tactless, or sarcastic; question authority and challenge the teacher, often in front of class; do not conform; receive little recognition and few honors and awards; may not feel included in the social group; have a sense of humor and creativity that is appealing to peers; spontaneity may be disruptive; possess negative self-concept; may be at risk for drop out, drug addition, or delinquency.
