ART IN THE SCHOOL

Art In The School provides many opportunities for you to integrate art into the work you do in your classroom. The Gifted Resource Center will announce the dates of the free lectures by professional artists.

Vision: Open the doors to learning for children through the visual arts.

Mission: Art in the School, Inc., is a private non-profit organization that publishes art education curriculum materials and conducts professional development workshops for educators. It prepares parent volunteers to teach art classes in the schools as a way of assisting public schools for art education. It serves as a national and international resource for art education.

The APS Unified Library purchased many of the high quality thematic units that have been used successfully with elementary, middle, and high school teachers of the gifted. Units are aligned with standards and are easily available through the NM State Instructional Materials Catalog.
