Our mission statementÉ
We come to school to listen, respect and learn.
I have a master's degree from the University of New Mexico in
TESOL and Bilingual Education. I have been teaching for 12 years. I
started teaching 5th grade then taught 2nd. Next, I was providing bilingual
resource services for 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. An opportunity came up for me to teach 3rd grade. The
following year I taught first grade, after which I was asked to start a dual
language program in Kindergarten and jumped in with both feet. Since
then, I have found my niche, and feel like I can give my children a sound
foundation in a beneficial program that will produce very competent bilingual
children in 5th grade capable of reading, writing and speaking in both Spanish
and English.
