DISCIPLINE POLICY

To reinforce and encourage positive behavior, a point system is used in our classroom.  Points are given for positive behavior.  Examples are:
                        1) being respectful
                        2) being on task
                        3) helping others
                        4) showing kindness
When 5 points are earned, a student may design a square for the classroom mosaic.  The mosaic is made up of 100 squares.  Each time a child earns 5 points, he/she designs another square for the mosaic.  As a child notices more and more squares that he/she has placed up on the mosaic, it becomes a visual reminder of great behavior.

To discourage inappropriate behavior, students who misbehave may lose recess time, write a letter home, or if needed I will call the parent.
