AS PARENTS YOU CAN HELP FOSTER SCHOOL SUCCESS BY PROVIDING POSITIVE SCHOOL EXPERIENCES:

Make sure your child is at school between 8:50 and 8:57 every day.

Make sure your child has his/her backpack everyday with his/her signed agenda folder in it.

Make sure you read/empty/sign/return your child’s agenda folder daily.

Make sure your child is wearing clothing that fosters independence.

Make sure your child knows what he/she is doing for lunch.  Purchase a lunch ticket in the cafeteria so your child will be assured of his/her lunch choices and will not have to charge if lunch from home has been forgotten.

Make sure any papers or notes that need to get to the teacher or office are put in your child’s agenda folder.  We do not go through students’ backpacks.

When sending money for any reason, put it in an envelope labeled with your child’s name and what it is for.

Keep the school informed of a current telephone number and address in case of an emergency.  Keep us informed of any cell phone number changes.

Always send a note in your child’s agenda folder if their normal pick-up/go home routine is changed for the day.  No note or phone call, no change.

Keep your child’s library book “Safe at Home in their Backpack”.  If the library book is always returned to the backpack after reading it will always be at school on library turn in days.

Do not send toys or personal objects to school.  Your child will have show and tell on their snack day.

Snack days are scheduled in advance.  I am unable to switch days due to your child not being in school.  If they are absent on their snack day please make sure the treasure box is returned to school by 3:30 so it can be given to the next student.  Your child will get another turn on his/her next scheduled day.
