Apache was founded in 1967.  The enrollment runs at about 400 students.  Our boundaries include homes north of I-40 to Lomas and Marquette east from Juan Tabo to Tramway and the Four Hills Community.

Apache generally feeds into Kennedy Middle School and Manzano High School.

Our school colors are navy blue and gold.

We hope you will join our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and help to make Apache the best school possible.  The dues to join the PTA are $5.00 per year.  The school is only as wonderful as the great members that dedicate some of their time and expertise to the PTA.  PTA coordinates fundraisers throughout the school year to generate funds for field trip buses, classroom projects and student incentives.  A little help goes a long way!  The PTA meets the second Monday of each month – join us!

All children can learn – just not on the same day or in the same way!

Coyotes

Welcome Coyotes!

Apache Elementary has just picked a new mascot!

We are now the Apache Coyotes!

Here is how it happened:

Each class turned in one nomination for our mascot.

The staff voted on all of the preliminary choices and narrowed them down to top 3 choices.

The top 3 were voted on by all student body and staff members.

The Coyotes won!

The Mountain Lions came in a very close second place, but after a very careful recount it was determined that the Coyotes were the definite winner.  The Prairie Dogs came in a distant third place after the final count.

Way to go Coyotes on a great process for our new mascot!
