READING, WRITING, and LANGUAGE ARTS:  We use the Harcourt Brace Reading Program for instruction.   This is a research based reading program that is used school wide at each grade level.  This ensures that your child will scaffold reading concepts and strategies throughout their academic career at SRM.

MATH:  We are fully implementing the Every Day Math Program.  It is based on the theory of a spiral curriculum.  Concepts are introduced then revisited and practiced throughtout the year.  This program reflects how we use math in everyday life.   It's a very hands on approach to learning math.  It incorporates games to practice math concepts.

SCIENCE:  Third graders study Physical, Life, and Earth Sciences.  APS supplies Science Kits and materials needed for hands on experiments.  Our school has adopted the Harcourt Brace Science program for next year.
