Great Things are Happening at SRM!
As we start the new school year, changes are being made that will
result in a new and beautiful, permanent school building. The new
school blue-print designs will be displayed in the office and cafeteria
for all to see in the coming weeks.
Phase I (A) is the East parent
pick-up. We will be using this area beginning in August. At
that time the entrance gate off of 72nd street will be closed.
You will be directed to use the one-way entrance off of Juniper and
will exit south on Iliff. Duty personnel will be assigned to
ensure student safety. You will notice the East parent pick-up is not
quite finished. The projected timeline to finish the first phase is set
for the beginning of October 2007.
Lobo Village is the group of fenced-in portables on the north side of
campus. This is the place where our new school will be located! There
are two double-sized classrooms with bathrooms and running water that
students will be able to use. Intercoms, fire alarms, air
conditioning, electricity, and wireless networks are all connected.
If you have any questions, we encourage parents and community to either
email, call, or make an appointment to visit with our principal, Maria
Barraza: martinez_maria@aps.edu and/or assistant principal Rebekah
Floryance: floryance@aps.edu. We will continue to keep you posted on
the development of our new school! We ask for your ongoing support,
cooperation, and patience as we go through this first of many
transitions this school year.
