T.E.E.N.S.
Teenagers
Encountering & Embracing
New Solutions What is our Mission?
Life isn't easy, and high school is there to help you prepare for the real world. You know, the whole business of getting a job and everything else. TEENS is there to support new students and keep them from dropping out. We're here to make sure that YOU at least can get on the road to YOUR future, whatever it may be. We'll help you with...
What Does T.E.E.N.S. Actually,
Y'know, Do?
We'll help you...
...get in touch with YOURSELF. Fitness is proven to help youth get centered, and we'll make sure you get FIT. ...get in touch with others. TEENS is also about social activity- you can bring a friend, meet new friends, and get to know out great teachers and tutors on a one-on-one basis. ...get in touch with nature. The beauty of nature DOES exist in and around our expansive Albuquerque. There will be opportunities for members to learn how to grow their own food. Hey, you might even be able to help the environment too! Who's The
Program For?
T.E.E.N.S. is designed to support high
school students "in transition". Students of all grade levels who meet
the Mckinney Vento Act are selected. They can bring a friend along too.
Goals Well, graduation from whichever high
school you're from is the biggest one, but that's not all we're about.
We're here to help you acquire the right skills so you can be just as
successful as you're willing to be. Our summer programs through Title I
do include things like on site job visits and lots of information on
careers.
