Grade Rio Grande River Project This group worked specifically on plants. Starting
with general information about plants, they moved to a study of the plants
of the Rio Grande River. A special thanks to
the Rio Grande Nature Center for their varied resources and support! |

They continued to grow even over winter vacation and in spite of cold room conditions. |
Both of mine grew! The plants grown in soil found near the school AND the those grown in special potting soil. |

I observed that this forb has a simple leaf pattern, the leaves are
arranged in an alternate way, the leaves grow along the stem, and the leflets
have a parallel vein pattern. |
