(If you like these, wait till you see ALL my pictures!)
Onomichi 1
Onomichi 2
tram
A beautiful view of Onomichi City.
Onomichi has an inland sea, a river, and about 100,000 people.

It is a short (3 minute) ride on the tram, but a spectacular view!  Here I am with Mr. Tomomune and Yoshie.

mall
These two lovely bridges connect Onomichi to Mukaishima Island.  One is called Onomichi Ohashi (big bridge) and the other is Shin Onomichi Ohashi (new Onomichi bridge).
There are many islands around Onomichi, some big and some small.
This covered area is a shopping arcade.  It is decorated by school children for the Star Festival on July 7.  Children makes wishes to hang onto branches, then the branch and wishes are burned.  The wises may then come true!

drinking tea
treasures
This serene view is from a room where we had a tea ceremony, with a Buddhist monk.
The tea is bitter to remind you of the bitter parts of life, but sweet is also served to remember the good parts too!
Some of the most beautiful things in Onomichi are food inside, like these treasures at Jodoji Temple.  What an amazing place!
