Mrs. Tillman

Redirection supports teachers, staff and students. Dealing with behavioral issues and academic challenges can be frustrating and overwhelming. The Redirection Program can offer assistance in many areas. It provides a safe and wholesome environment for students to refocus and calm themselves down and re-enter their learning environment.

Redirection provides a type of re-teach, or re-focus, for students that are exhibiting behavioral issues of all kinds. By sending students to Redirection, teachers are able to limit the amount of time that they spend dealing with classroom behavior problems and use that time to TEACH. It also provides in opportunity for the student to focus on the positive choices they can make to change their behavior and learn the skills necessary to implement these changes.

The Redirection Program can help with more than just behavior concerns!

No Homework:  A student can come to the Redirection Room to complete missing or late homework assignments

Quiet Work Space:  Students work quietly in the Redirection Room

Mediation/Interviewing:  Addresses group behavior

Programmed Support:  Academic tutoring and encouragement for students who need one-on-one support

The Redirection Program is tailored to meet each student's individual needs. My door is always open in P-22.
