STUDENT RECEIPTS

All monies which are handled by staff members and collected from students are under State Law, considered public funds. As such, all funds are accountable to auditing procedures and require the issuance of a student receipt.

The following procedure has been adopted by the administration of Eisenhower Middle School for the handling of student funds:

The student is issued a three-part receipt when any money is collected.

Student receipts may be secured in the main office, but must be used in numerical sequence.

After issuing the receipt, the student retains the white copy, the teacher the yellow copy, and the pink copy must be turned into the office, when the funds are deposited with the school secretary.

Student receipts must be turned into the office in numerical order with a tape which shows the addition and total of the funds turned in. Funds and receipts must match.

All tickets which have been voided must be plainly marked "void" and submitted to the bookkeeper.

Any receipts remaining in the possession of the teacher at the end of the school year must be returned to the main office.

Any receipts missing or stolen must be reported to APS Security and a report filed.

If you are collecting less than $10.00 per student, you may use the "$10.00 and Under Receipt Form." See the principal’s secretary for explanation and form.
