CONTACTING THE MEDIA

Please remember to contact the administration before contacting the media about a school activity. The standard procedure is:

Write a short press release about the activity.

Give the press release to an administrator who will fax it to PIO at APS Central Office. That assures all media of an equal opportunity to report.

If the media contacts you about something other than your press release, refer them to the principal. There are many Privacy Act and procedural protocol constraints to which we must adhere.
