Dress Code
![]()
EISENHOWER MIDDLE SCHOOLThe EMS dress code is designed to provide a safe and orderly environment for our students. Inappropriate dress can be disruptive or unsafe. Prohibited dress includes: pants that students cause to sag; tube, bikini tops, low-cut blouses; fishnet clothing; cut or torn jeans that are inappropriately revealing; shorts with less than a 4 inch inseam; clothing that is inappropriately revealing; t-shirts with offensive writing, pictures, slogans or advertisements for alcohol, tobacco or drug products. To prevent any negative group from forming on campus no gang related clothing is allowed. Specifically, EMS students may not wear any apparel that has Raiders, Bulls, Kings or Whitesox on it. This includes hats, jackets, t-shirts, sweats, etc. Any clothing that becomes a symbol of gangs will cause our dress code to be re-evaluated. Additionally, since hats are currently not allowed in most classrooms and are frequently distracting, damaged or lost, we are asking that students not wear them inside the building. Hats worn to school should be placed in student lockers before school. Any student who wishes to wear a hat for PE needs to keep it in their PE locker. Parents: please help us enforce this code by watching what your children are wearing to school each day. Any clothing which disrupts the educational process is prohibited. If a child comes to school dressed inappropriately, the child will be sent to the office. If an acceptable change of clothing is not available, you will be called to arrange for acceptable clothing for your child. Back to Table of Contents
