EISENHOWER MIDDLE SCHOOL

CODE OF CONDUCT

 

1. Students will use appropriate classroom and hall behavior.

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - staff/parent contact

3rd offense - staff consequence

4th offense - send a SDR to administration

 

2. Students will remain at school unless checked out through the Attendance Office.

1st and any offense - send a SDR to administration

Administration will contact parent

 

3. Students are not allowed in the faculty parking lot, workroom or lounges without an EMS Staff member.

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - send a SDR to administration

3rd offense - S.O.S.

 

4. Students will use written standard hall passes when not in class.

1st and any offense - send a SDR to administration, student sent to administration

 

5. Students will not throw snowballs or any object that could be harmful on campus.

1st and any offense - send a SDR to administration, student sent to administration

 

6. Students will avoid hitting, pushing or tripping others.

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - send a SDR to administration, administration/parent contact, lunch detention

3rd offense - send a SDR to administration, S.O.S.

 

7. Students should properly store bikes in the bike racks during school hours.

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - send a SDR to administration, administration/parent contact

3rd offense - send a SDR to administration

 

8. Students will avoid bringing skateboards, roller blades, tape players, beepers, toys, etc. to school.

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - send a SDR to administration, administration/parent contact

3rd offense - send a SDR to administration, confiscate item for return to parent only

 

9. Students will put all trash in appropriate containers (for the entire campus).

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - community service and/or lunch detention

3rd offense - send a SDR to administration, administration/parent contact multiple community services and/or lunch detention

 

10. Students will stay within permitted areas. School halls will be clear before 8:15 and after 3:15 unless attending special school functions.

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - staff/parent contact

3rd offense - administration/parent contact, lunch detention

4th offense - send a SDR to administration, S.O.S.

 

11. Students will not run in halls or classrooms.

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - send a SDR to administration, lunch detention

3rd offense - send a SDR to administration, multiple lunch detention, administration/parent contact

 

12. Students will be in class on time.

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - staff/parent contact

3rd offense - teacher consequences

4th offense - send a SDR to administration, 4 lunch detention

5th offense - send a SDR to administration, 1 day SOS

 

13. Students will display appropriate behavior in the cafeteria and snack bar area.

1st offense - community service

2nd offense - administration/parent contact and extended detention

 

14. Students should avoid inappropriate display of affection.

1st offense - staff/student contact

2nd offense - staff/parent contact or administration/parent contact

 

15. Students must dress appropriately so as not to disrupt the educational process. Students must follow the school dress code. (see below)
