EISENHOWER TECHNOLOGY MISSION AND GOALS:
Eisenhower Middle School recognizes the importance of technological skills and concepts mastery for all students. We further recognize that the middle school student should have an opportunity for an interactive exploratory experience with technology and be able to determine the pursuit of further technology training.
STUDENTS:
I. Every student will be introduced to computers.
II. The student will be able to use interactive work stations and develop search patterns.
III. The student will use various interactive software which will enhance his/her core curriculum in his/her own protected area and receive appropriate feedback.
IV. Our students will acquire and use information while working with a variety of technologies and systems as a foundation for career preparation.
V. Every student will sign an appropriate-use form.
STAFF:
I. Every staff member will have an opportunity to become familiar with computer technology.
II. Every staff member will have a classroom computer for professional use.
III. Every staff member will have an opportunity to utilize a classroom set of computers in the computer lab (Room 31).
IV. Eisenhower Middle School will be able to connect with other systems in school, in district, in state, in nation, and in the world.
V. Our teachers will insure our students are able to apply knowledge and transfer basic technological skills to meet their occupational and academic objectives.
USAGE PLAN:
Schedule book for signing up kept by Pegie Roberts in Room 31:
- up to one (1) week at a time,
- no less than one month in advance,
- teacher (no students please) picks up and returns equipment by 3:15 p.m.
