Gifted Education
Philosophy
Gifted students require time to study and learn with like peers.  In order to meet the diverse learning needs of these students and because they have previously mastered many of the concepts, they are clustered in their grade level classrooms.  Teachers can then nurture behaviors exhibited by gifted students, provide opportunities to stretch their learning and provide accelerated learning opportunities.  As a part of this clustering, students are also pulled out of their regular classrooms for a small portion of their week to learn with other gifted students.
Unless the student needs to meet a deadline for work completion, all assigned work will be completed during the pull-out class time.  Most projects will span a trimester grading period.
