Mary Ida Martinez has been working for Adobe Acres for 11 years.
She has been here through four principals: Cynthia Chavez, Linda Hudson, Cynthia Chavez, Elizabeth Mares and David Rogers.
She has 4 children, two girls and two boys. The oldest is Elaine(28), Joseph(26), Natalie(24)and Stephen(17).
Elaine is 28 years old, a UNM (Anderson, MBA)graduate and works at Sandia National Laboratories.
Elaine and David Ortiz were married June, 2001. Dave is a UNM student in the medical field and works at Lovelace Hospital.
Joseph is 26 and single. He works for Voicestream. His job title is Outbound Retention Team Lead.
He loves his car (Blue Mitsubishi Eclipse) and Janet Jackson. Joe is a very talented artist and computer whiz.
Natalie is 26 years old, single and a graduate of the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
She received a full athletic scholarship for basketball and played point guard.
She majored in Political Science with a minor in History.
Natalie is currently the head girls basketball coach at Rio Grande High School.
She is also a substitute teacher at Rio Grande.
Stephen is 17 and a senior at Rio Grande High School. He's a member of MESA, Band, National Honor Society.
Stephen has been accepted to UNM and plans to study Computer Science.
Mary Ida and Joe have been married for 29 years. Mary Ida (Bourguet)is a 1965 graduate of Rio Grande High.
Joe is from northern NM. He is enjoying retirement and still finds time to help around our campus.
