In the
Future Problem Solving Program, students learn to think futuristically.
They learn a six step process to identify possible challenges, an underlying
problem, possible solutions, criteria, a weighting process, and the development
of a solution. The students may work individually or in a team to do prior
research regarding a topic. The Coaches for this program are Mrs.
Faith Forsythe and Mrs. Elyse Sedillo.
The
Adobe Acres Thunderbird Teams have successfully
been winners at the New Mexico Future Problem Solving State Bowl: 2002-1st
Place, 2003-2nd Place, 2004-1st Place, 2005-1st Place. These teams have
represented the state of New Mexico at the International Future Problem Solving
Competitions.
