Happy School Year!

Superintendent Reedy's back-to-school message for employees

I know you are busy today, so I won’t take too much of your time. I just want to wish you a Happy School Year!

My hope for you this year is that you quickly find your stride.

My wish is that you find joy in your work and that each day as you head home you feel a sense of accomplishment.

My dream is that you succeed in helping every single one of our student grow as learners and as individuals.

My prayer is that you stay well and that you keep fighting for the good cause.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: What we do is serious business. Educating children is both honorable and important work. We make a daily difference in the lives of the students we serve…together.

Don’t forget this! It’s easy to get caught up in the daily drama, the inevitable problems, the letdowns and setbacks.

But I’m here to remind you that you, me, all of us who make up the APS family are changing lives. Together we are making the world a better place. Together, we are opening the doors to opportunity, possibility and bright futures

Every school year has its challenges, but we can face them because we are resilient. We are strong. We are always looking ahead.

Have a great day, week and school year! I'll be in touch.
