Acting Supt. Reedy's Labor Day message for employees

Dear Colleagues,

What a whirlwind week this has been!

I can’t thank you enough for all of the calls, emails and wishes of support I’ve received since being named Acting Superintendent. I know my many friends and associates in schools and offices across the district share my devotion to our students, and I appreciate your dedication as we continue to provide them with rich learning opportunities, safe and secure environments, and loving support.

I hope you enjoy your well-deserved long weekend. Whether you’re heading out for an end-of-summer getaway or staying home to relax with family and friends, be safe, be happy, and come back Tuesday recharged and ready to continue our important work.

We're hiring 20 music and art teachers a year for the next five years so that students will have both subjects every year in elementary school.
