Appreciation

Supt. Reedy thanks staff for a great start to the school year.

As we wind up the first couple of days of the new school year, there is so much to thank you for.

  • Most people will never know how you spun into action after a massive power outage threw our IT Department into overdrive
  • Or how many after-after hours you spent registering students, some of whom weren't just new to our schools, but also to our country
  • Or the 24/7 effort it took to get buses rolling, buildings cleaned, air conditions running, people hired, nerves soothed.

The list goes on and on.

Why do you do it? This clip from the movie "Parenthood" is a reminder of what we all aspire to -- to see our students succeed and to be appreciated. We all know a Kevin, and whether teacher, coach, parent or other person in his life, we all play a role in the story.

I appreciate you. Enjoy the clip. Enjoy the weekend. See you next week.
