Schools with an Alternative Calendar(Formerly Year Round Schools) These schools provide students with continuous learning by breaking up the long summer vacation into shorter, more frequent vacations throughout the year.
In the 2010-2011 school year, all year-round schools have moved to a new, standard single-track schedule. This single-track schedule, also known as the Alternative Calendar, generally has 180 instructional days, with short breaks spread throughout the school year.
